Dos and Don’ts for Fashionable Athletic Shoes

How do the shoes you wear to the gym fare in social gatherings? Well, it may be a surprise for you, but these shoes are quite the ‘in’ thing in today’s fashion arena. However, just because it is a trend does not mean you have to follow it. Moreover, you need to know the dos from the don’ts if you want to be cool, and not a fashion disaster.

What are the dos and don’ts when it comes to these shoes? Here are a few basic rules regarding trainers.

Do not forget to get a classic pair. Even when you opt for a casual pair with dashes of bright colours like orange or yellow, do not forget to buy a pair combining black, white, grey, or navy. It goes well with your trousers and fits semi-formal occasions with ease.

Do get a separate pair for the workout. Do not go for a casual outing wearing your gym trainers. Workout shoes need to provide you support and comfort while just comfort is all that you need for casual ones.

Do not opt for a mixed breed. While classis and retro trainers are the new fashion fad, do not opt for a pair that looks more of a mix between an athletic shoe and a dress shoe. Do experiment with styles; just do not make it a mess.

Do get low-cut socks. Do you wear socks or do you not? Wearing a sock may make you look like a 12 year old (and nowadays even they are fashion conscious), and not doing so makes you susceptible to foot odour. Opt for low cut invisible socks instead.

Do not overdo with the glitz. A touch of colour or a hint of glam is a good idea. However, it is sure to have a very different effect if you opt for a pair that has just too much of glitz, and the effect sure is on the wrong side of being fashionable.

Follow these little tips and tricks and you are sure to avoid being a disaster. Opt for the right pair for the right occasion, and the right outfit, and it is sure to be the right recipe for success at being fashionable.
